Honey, I'm Home!

Well, Hidy Ho There Good Neighbors. Where does time fly when your having sooo much fun? I went to bed Thursday night and now here it is Tuesday - Wow.

When I woke on Friday morning, I felt as though I had been hit by a "Fully Loaded Tour Bus". I caught a cold. Oh Yeah, I couldn't of caught a bargain, a pair of shoes or a new purse. My catch comes with snot balls (sorry) and lots of tissue. That night I drown myself in cold/flu medicine so I could go out and watch "THE" rival football game - We lost, but they played well.

During the 3rd quarter everybody had lost their minds and I wanted to get a picture of some of the action so I went for my camera and.....the kind gentleman whom was sitting right smack dab in front of me went for my lower lip/tooth. Yep, you heard be right as I was leaning forward his elbow was leaning backward and WHAM he hit me right in the lower jaw.

So needless to say I not only have this awful cold/flu, I have a humongous black and blue bottom lip, a loose tooth and a huge dentist bill. He didn't knock it out - just loose enough to where I look horrible and can't eat (Jenny Craig ain't got nothin on me) . It'll be a couple more days until they are able to fix it and I'M HUNGRY! Although, hubby has been wonderful about making most of the meals - ok ordering out for most of the meals. This is probably the first time in months that I am actually quite.

In other news: I have been shadowing (training) with a friend of mine who waitresses in a really fun restaurant in the next town over. The reason for this is, I will be working for her when she decides to travel or go on the road with her hubby (guitarist for Hawthorne Heights). She called me this afternoon and needs me to work the next couple of days. I am so excited. I have never waitresses, but as most of you know I love to talk and have fun. This is gonna be a blast and put some extra change in my pocket. ALL THIS WITH A LOOSE BOTTOM TOOTH mind you - Maybe they'll think it's a Halloween gimmick.

Hoping all are well, having fun and lovin your Everyday! Take care of you and yours always,

Katie

Oww! I'm so sorry to hear about your loose tooth. (and the cold)
Waitressed for 14 years, the tips are great, the feet will ache, and yes, having a great sense of humor really does help. You'll do fine!

I only waited tables once...for a month or so, I was not bad at it, but it was the grave yard shift which brought the "drunks" and ugh...hated it....

I hope you have a way better time.

I'm so sorry hearing about you being elbowed, so how was the guys elbow? *winks* Good luck with the waitressing in the next few days. You won't catch me doing it ever again...

I know it wasn't funny but I couldn't help but laugh at the prospect of you having to serve customers with a loose tooth. (It was the way you told the story hon). I hope your able to get it fixed soon.
Feel better dear friend. (Hugs)Indigo
