I wanna be a genie in a bottle

Photobucket

I've never been happier to see a Monday in all my life. I am thankful it's here in all it's glory. I wanted to start out by thanking each and everyone of you for your kindness in thoughts and prayers for my mom as well as our family. From my heart to yours "Big hugs to you"!

An update: Mom was put into ICU for a couple of days to do some extensive testing to find out why her breathing was so labored. Their conclusion is CHF (congestive heart failure) and that her body was using up more blood than it could produce. She has been poked, prodded and picked at for the past 5 days, only thing left is for her to stand on her head.

She was given shots to relieve the water retention, blood to replace what wasn't and is now breathing and resting comfortably. She was moved to a normal room and should be released sometime today or tomorrow. This is the news we've been praying for.

Everything else in life has fallen into place and seems to be running smoothly. There for awhile I felt like I was on a treadmill with my eyes closed. I just wanted to be a genie in a bottle and blink my way thru it all.

Knowing I have the friends that I do and treasure each and everyone of you - How could one not pull thru a tough time with flying colors.

Hoping your Monday treats you good and that the rest of your week does the same. Take care of you and yours always!

Katie, wonderful news!!! I am so happy for you, and your mom. Joe had the same only his doctor said that he had a silent heart attack in the past and he had to have heart surgery. I woke up and he was sitting up in bed and said he could not breathe, so I do know How frightening it was and is for you and your dad. Joe was 65 when his happened. I just hope that your mom just does great. My prayers will be with her. Lucy

Wonderful news about your mom. :) I'm so glad she's resting comfortably now. As a nurse, I've seen hundreds of CHF patients and they're never comfortable. So that's a blessing.

Much love to you,
B

I am so sorry I did not get here sooner to be praying along with you. But be assured, I will be praying now, for you and all of yours... I can only imagine what its like to see the first man in your life (dad) weak from grief and confusion and not being able to help, when the love of his life is hurting, and he cannot help... and for your mom to not know. I am just so sorry dear friend.

Many prayers out for all of you-
Amanda
