Today is the day I worried about yesterday wondering how I would feel. To tell you the truth, I feel like I was run over by a fully loaded tour bus! I guess that's why they call it a workout!
I am so happy to see the sun shining in all it's glory. That and 4 cups of really strong coffee have me motivated to get something done today. I looked around the house and thought "what really needs to be done", so I sit with my 5th cup of coffee contemplating.
I see the dog licking the window and our borrowed cat hanging off the screen door. You would think this would give me a push in the right direction. Yeah, I'm not into cleaning the windows just yet. So I find myself sitting at the doorway of my closet knowing something in here needs my attention.
Why do we hang on to those things we know we'll never wear again? I found a really cute sunny day dress I must of worn when I was..... yeah way back then and it's still here. I have jeans my one thigh wouldn't fit into. And shoes.... I could open up two shoe stores with a years worth of inventory. Sorting and stuffing, rearranging and pitching what was no longer a necessity took me only 2 hours. Maybe I'll get to those windows yet! Yeah, not today.
I have a refrigerator that screams at me every time I open the door, a pantry that needs restocking and my tired old laundry basket that needs emptying. Now if I can just convince my butt to follow my body up off the floor, we might get something else done today!
Hoping your Wednesday is full of sunshine and happy thoughts. Take care of you and yours always!

As soon as i get off my ass today maybe i'll get something done but it looks very unlikely.
Here my butte is on the computer and yet in my mind I am doing my chores, lol....
Enjoy the day!! :)
Good grief, if I drank 5 cups of coffee I would be climbing the walls plus running to the John every few minutes LOL. I hate doing housework, always have. Thanks for coming by my blog.
Helen

I don't do windows..period!! If they ever get cleaned someone else will have to do it. I just call those clothes & shoes "keepsakes". I have a pretty red sweater that I wore in freshman year, I kid you not but it's all pretty organized.lol HAPPY CLEANING :)....
i agree with Kelly-the dogs will clean the windows.

glad your mom is doing better! good for you for going to the gym! hugs
I'm suffering from seasonal procrastination right now-taking deep breaths waiting for the spring cleaning bug that always has me tearing things apart to hit!
Then I'll be sorry. C'mon over, I'll make a fresh pot of coffee...

I love your entry!!!! So true. I cleaned my closet out and the people thaT WERE??or are??? going to take it for their thrift store in a small town just keep leaving it here. She wanted it on hangers & furnished the hangers and I have a line full in the basement,Joe put some out on the porch and I have some in plastic bags. Better be soon or salvation army will get it. If not I will be bringing it back in!!!NNNNOOOOO!!! Lucy
Good for you! No need in being a pack rat. :) I do a thorough cleaning and sorting every year...anything that is out of style or is the wrong size goes in the yard sale. It works for me. LOL
XOXO
Yes there is ALWAYS something to do and I have those same closets looking at me too. But I'm still ignoring. I just keep reminding myself do I really wanna to move this stuff with me. Is it that important? NOPE unless it's something from one of the kids. It's gonna be gone. I know it sounds awful, but the older I get I mean I just want my suitcase full of stuff and I don't care about the rest. Man are the kids old enough to be entrusted with all their childhood junk. I think so.
Take care, Chrissie
Yes, I have that problem most mornings, but I feel like once it starts warming up, and the days are already getting longer with daylight, I will make it, and do better! So far today the coffee is all that is getting done...lol. Well I did go feed the animals this morning, yep, before coffee! ;) Hugs, Kelly
