Mama Mia

Hidy Ho Good Neighbor!

Sooooooo, Jack Frost has decided to nip a few in the rear these past couple of days. I don't know why I'm surprised every year when winter arrives. I guess being from the West Coast winter means you put on longer pants, closed in shoes and some sort of jacket. Out here winter paralyzes me. *Burrr*

I woke up early this morning feeling energetic (long before caffeinethirty). So I got an early start on the things that I have been ignoring or what has been avoiding me. A clean "Boys" bathroom is always a treat, washed/dried and put away laundry is another plus oh and not to forget a meal prepared for dinner - PRICELESS!

My hubby woke up and thought we were moving. I had stuff everywhere and in the mix of it all I decided to clean out my purse. My husband considers it my carry on. Why, or more importantly HOW do some of these objects get past me and into my purse. Umpteen million pens that don't work, an armless action figure,a lonely arm with nothing claiming it, two rocks, something slimy blue in color, hockey cards and a lock. Never in my wildest dreams did I figure what having a little boy really meant. They are made of snakes and snails and puppy dog tails - that smell sometimes like a poly wog. But ya gotta love em.

Once I organized my life, I went to my elderly Italian friends house. She cooks, bakes, slices, dices and spreads a whole lot of lovin into her every weekend. She usually cooks up two or three meals for us a week. We sit and chit chat for hours. I really enjoy her and her stories emphasized with her strong Italian accent. She's a treasured friend that I am so grateful to have.

As the night starts to fall, get the fireplace going, comfy comfort clothes on because tonight's dinner shall be "Chicken, cheese and broccoli stuffed manicotti smothered in a white wine sauce - salad and a nice bottle of that same wine. Life is good!

Hoping all are staying warm - don't let the frost nip at your feet - Enjoy each other and have fun.

Take care of you and yours always!

You sound like you are well prepared for Mr. Frost to visit there. He won't be nipping at my toes unless he sharp enough teeth to chew through my nice thick socks :).........

A west coast winter is a bikini at the beach LOL. I would love to have a little visit by Jack Frost, but he cannot stay for too long cause I chill too easy LOL. Have a happy hump day by the fire. Luv ya!

I remember the days of finding things like that in my purse!! LOL!! Once while doing the laundry, I was emptying the pockets of my 4 year old's jeans, and pulled out bugs!! YEP! BUGS!!! All dead by then, of course!! LOL!! It's still warm here on the west coast, can't WAIT for cooler air!! Dinner sounds great, what time should I be there!!

Yes a moms purse has all kinds of strange things in it from time to time doesnt it? ;) It is indeed cold here. They say about ten degrees lower than what its supposed to be. Makes the coffee that much better! Your friend sounds like a heavenly cook. :) Hugs, Kelly
