Where does the mind go when it wanders? Because I'd like to go with it!

Well hello to you on this fine Saturday afternoon. I feel like I've been on a non-stop flight for the past couple of weeks. Flew out to Texas on business, then over to Arizona to help my sister get her new home organized, returned home just in time to catch the family bus on it's way to Myrtle Beach for an early Thanksgiving gala.

My mind was not with me when I returned home on Thursday night (extremely late) because I couldn't/can't seem to get it together. Once all the luggage made it into the house and the guys found their way under the covers just to drool on their pillows, I decided what I needed was a hot cup of coffee paired up with a bubble bath.

Good thing my girlfriend has a key to the house or I would of drown. I looked as though I had aged 40 years in what I thought was just a few minutes enjoying a bath. My skin was so wrinkled and waterlogged it took awhile to get the feeling back in my extremities. But nothing was gonna stop me from heading out at 4:00 AM on BLACK FRIDAY.

For the past 2 years we've spent our Thanksgiving holiday in New York - So I knew I could handle the crowds here in Ohio on Black Friday! Ummmm NOT..... their crazier, meaner and will kill just to get whatever it is they are after. I had no idea a helmet and full body gear was needed just to enter some of the stores. Needless to say I fought/handle myself well and returned home at a decent hour unharmed with all that I set out for. I am officially done Christmas shopping for 2008 ~ Oh it's good to be me.

Today, I was ensconced in the usual Saturday morning chores. Ya know it feels so good to spend time away visiting family and friends, going places you've never been before, but there's no feeling like walking through the front door of your own HOME!

I am hoping all have enjoyed their time with family and friends during this Thanksgiving holiday with hopes that the good times continue through the rest of your weekend. Take care of you and yours always!

Well, Katie girl, traveling sounds great to me. I know it probably gets old but I'd take the warm weather any way I could get it. Megan was supposed to be in NYC this Thanksgiving. No cash so no go. She was bummed. Glad you got home and rested. HUGS

Wow...you've been a busy girl!
But I totally agree...there's no place like home.

I avoid Black Friday like the plague. I can't deal with all the looney tunes. LOL

I'm done with my Christmas shopping too. Woo Hoo!

XOXO

It's good to have you back! Yes, it does get pretty mean around here. I used to have my shopping done by October to make sure I missed all of it!
Just keep being who you are Katie, and do what you do! And I already know you "will" have one great day!
Hugs
