Well hidy ho there good neighbors and a happy Tuesday to all. What a wonderful weekend, huh? The sun was a shinin, the weather was warm and the bar-b-q's were blazin. A good time was had by all.I'm glad I made it through the interviewing process last week with all hairs still attached to my head. Needless to say, were back on our own and I'm just fine with that. I still had my sanity as Monday morning rolls up on me. I was sitting at my desk with my ol friend "Cup o Java" and I could barely see out of my right eye.
I thought about my mornings routine and everything was as it always is, except for the flat tire (that was a treat). I took off my glasses and rubbed my eyes. All I was left with was a blurry right eye and makeup half way down my face. Not the answer. Tried washing face, poking finger in eye to remove any debris and adding eye drops. Still not the answer.
By now my eye is red and irritated, so I grabbed the phone to call the eye doctor. I can't work with one eye. My business partner walks in and I'm trying to explain to her why my eye is all red and watery as I put on my glasses (hoping) this will help. She begins to chuckle. I shot her a look like, well I can't work with one eye.
So there I sat at the eye doctors trying to focus on anything that moved and became so frustrated. What had happened to my eye?
Fifteen minutes later I wanted to die. I was so embarrassed, I was horrified. Oh... where is that hole I'm suppose to bury my head in. "Thanks Katie, let us know if we can be of any more help", did I mention I was horrified.
I walked back into our office and Kelly says "Oh you found your other lens (snicker, snicker)"?
Not until I spent 25 humiliating minutes at the doctors office just to be told I was MISSING ONE ~ Not a contact lens, one of the lens to my glasses! How could anybody be so stupid?
Friends/business partners, you can't live with em and I surely never want to live without em! Hoping your Tuesday brings you many reasons to smiel! Take care of you and yours always!

I got poked in the eye with a tree branch and was blind for about a week, i can feel your pain.
Whoops!
I don't think I've ever forgotten to put in a lens, but I've had them float up to the top of my eyeball. That's awful!

It's a good thing my lens are in a pair of glasses. I never wore contacts and it's probably for my own good too. Take care.
ROFL!
I'm trying to imagine you wearing glasses that is missing a len

Thanks for the laugh :D
Have you watched "Home Improvement" before? Your introduction reminded me of the neighbor, I believe his name was Wilson? Let me know if that's where you picked it up ;)
Wow, ummm, yeah. That WOULD be embarrassing. I've done the same type of thing before, though. I live to embarrass myself for others' amusement.
