Welcomed With Open Arms

First day of spring so they say and it's colder than a well diggers behind. The sun is shining and it's Friday so that's a plus. I'm hoping the heat of the day rises above freezing and melts away what's left of a long lingering winter.

I have so much to do today and my motivation and energy are still sleeping. My coffee pot humms and whistles trying to get my attention as I sit quietly daydreaming. I enjoy my quite momments alone, it's good for the soul, especially when the rest of the day you feel like you've been shot out of a cannon.

A couple of weeks ago, my business partner and I decided to hire on some much needed help. We began the interviewing process this week and let me tell you what, that has become a job all on it's own. It seems that nobody wants to work, but they all want the paychecks.

I had one young lady tell me that she doesn't even like to clean her own house let alone clean up someone else's. HELLOOOO, did you read the job description? Where did it say we're a maid service? Another prospect informed me that she wanted my job! Oh it's good to be me.

Lingering on my plate are two parties to schedule and a vacation to plan. I'd better get my north bound part of my south bound body in gear. Hoping your Today treats you well. Take care and enjoy!

Well, there is honesty for you: I don't like to clean my own house let alone clean up someone else's. Haaaa. I never want robotic flawlessness from anyone, but I do want them to actually work. Tsk Tsk. I am quite the taskmaster.

I do some volunteer work and was at one location so often that one of the "clients" that comes for food assistance asked how much I was paid to work there, she said she might want to do the job. I said I was a volunteer, and she said I don't do things for pay unless I like the things and I never do anything free.
Uhm, ok.
I feel your pain. ~Mary

It looks like with the economy like it is people would be willing to work! Somethings just never change .....something for nothing!

It has risen above freezing here now but the wind is still cold. It won't be long now and we'll have warmer days. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. That is a big plus. 2 parties to plan for sounds exciting! 'On Ya'-ma

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I don't really like to clean, but hate a dirty house so I get it done.. It is hard to find good help.

WoW. People are bold. LOL Sounds like you had some real charmers to interview! It seems like a lot of the younger kids 20s or so, dont have the modivation to work at all.

Hm, I don't remember being interviewed by you ;)

Your blog cracks me up as always, keep posting!!! Please? *eye twitches*

Haha, I had to laugh at the applicant that didn't want to "clean".
Katie, don't forget to stop and relish the spring weather, whatever it may be....

We've been doing the same around here. Cutting large, thick branches broken from the ice storm...and preparing the yard.

I hope your bunnies are safe...last year we ran over the nest, killing a couple with the lawn mower. Sad.

Hope you are having a wonderful week and getting lots done with your business~

I think that attitude is a big contributor to this recession/depression we're in... too many want a paycheck without working. The easy life!! Hope you find someone good.
