OK, so have you seen the info on CNN from Real Simple regarding how to have a "sparking clean" house in nineteen minutes? So when I first heard about the story I am thinking this is just touch up, throw everything in a closet, it's clean right?Nope. It appears we really can have a sparkly clean house in this amount of time, silly me! So the first recommendation is to wipe down the counters in one minute. Bing, your time is up. I hope you didn't have any spilled spaghetti sauce.
Next sweep floor in two min; in your 200 sq ft house I guess. Do you know about pets and kids? Now we go to the bathroom and we get two minutes here as well. What will I do with the time? If you have one bathroom, no boys, and soft water…maybe?
OK, so here is the BIG one: Six min to clean the living room, family room, and foyer. Grab a magazine because this should only take four minutes, right? I think I just spent six minutes just picking up the pieces to a game from the other night. Oh wait, here's an animal gift. There goes two minutes down the drain!
I don't even think I could call a maid in nineteen minutes. First look up a phone number because I don't even know a maid. Next, hope it's a reliable service and dial up the number. Wait on hold for six minutes, darn! Make an appointment… "Has anyone seen my day planner?" Well I guess my nineteen minutes are up. I will have to try again tomorrow.
I guess their houses don't have carpets (it takes me nineteen min just to vacuum), rugs, pets, children, crafts, cooking, walls, sheets to wash or laundry in that case, and FUN!!!
Nineteen minutes…..not in my REAL WORLD! OK, which one of you boys left that on the wall?

i could never get the house clean in that amount of time, thats just crazy! i hope your having a good week. hugs
I learned early that if you have a husband or children & you don't teach them to pick up after themselves, you will have to do all the work yourself. That's the mistake most parents make. A child is never too young to learn responsibility. To little kids, it is like a game to spray and dust or race each other to see who can put their toys away the fastest. Teaching children responsibility is the most important skill a parent can give their children.
Did they say what planet they were from???
LOL

I want the person who can clean up the house in 19 minutes to come to my house and show me how it's done! LOL
Enjoy your day.
19 minutes? That's just crazy.
it takes me 19 minutes to figure out what I want to clean .....I , another 19 to say the heck with it, another 19 to say how about tomorrow, but it only takes me a minute to go lay out at the pool!!!!!! lol
It takes me nineteen minutes just to get out of bed :o) I cleaned the house and it took me a good hour, it wasn't even that dirty! I don't have carpet but it took me a good 10 minutes to sweep the entire house, crumbs sneak easier on hardwood floors.
It took me a good minute to scrub ONE stain off the counter. It took me another 2 minutes to scrub away the pasta explosion in the microwave.
It took me a minute to scream from a hairy corn dog that I found behind my son's toy :o)
Yep, not realistic. I agree LOL!
Ha! I'm with you sista-friend! It takes me 19 minutes just to get all my pictures off the hutch so I can dust.
I really like pictures of my munchkins. LOL
XOXO
Little tag at the top is soooo true!! lol Hmmm the Orkin man came unannounced today! grrrr! lol Too funny... but too true. lol Hope you didn't waste any of those 19 minutes to take a breath!! Have a blessed week. Janie
That is to funny. I can see me gimping around at a dead gimp, aand might get it done in an hour if my old bones would move that fast.
They are soooo full of ..it!! I would love to see their "crew" do my place in that time. They would need to be on skates for sure :)
Just a quick mstop to say hi and hope things are good for you. Lucy
Who are they fooling? It takes me 3 hours just to sweep up the dog hair!
Nineteen minutes? My house would not even BURN DOWN in that time frame....there's enough dust to smother any smoldering flame.
Good luck with that!!! lol
