We arrived home Sunday night dragging everything including our suitcases. We had a ball seeing all of our friends, eating, wandering through the city, eating, hangin out lounging and eating some more. I didn't take the digital camera for fear of taken several shot of my mug, so as soon as I get the photo's back and scanned, I will share them with all.
We had to make some changes in our holiday plans. We were suppose to fly out to Vegas Sunday afternoon to spend Christmas with hubby's family, then off to Oregon for the remainder of our trip. Instead we will be spending our time here at home creating new memories.
My mom is having some health issues that need our attention. She is doing fine, just having to go through many test to find out what is causing the difficulties. It wouldn't feel right leaving and I'm sure our suitcases will agree.
Our flights are good for a year, so when all is clear we'll take our vacation then. I guess there's nothing like being home for the holidays except the rush to get all gifts under the appropriate trees by Christmas Eve and the amount of money it will take to do so. Oh it's good to be me.
I remember last year traveling through J-Land and everyone was posting their favorite Christmas Carols. It was so interesting to hear what songs were picked and reading about the memories that made those songs favorites. I am hoping this tradition continues here in Blogsphere.
I would now like to share my favorite Christmas Carol with you (Please scroll down to bottom of blog and turn off music player) - Hope you enjoy! Take care of you and yours always - Enjoy your Today!

Welcome back, Katie. Hope your mom will be just fine. Our weather is really a roller coaster ride that went from a very unusual snow in Dec to a warm balmy day today with even a warmer 76* tomorrow in the forecast.
Welcome home!
And I'm so glad you enjoyed your Christmas card. :)

Oh that just gave me goosebumps! I had forgotten that song, thanks so much for sharing. I will post my favorite too. I hope your Mom feels better. You didn't need Vegas this year, it's snowing, lol. Be well and welcome home! De ;)
Welcome home, Katie! Plans change but the reason for the season doesn't. Your favorite song is also mine. Gives me chills up and down my spine. I like Kenny Rogers and Wynona's version but absolutely love the video you have. Sugar always has a really moving video for this song.
I'm not sure if I'll do a video or just add the song to my playlist. I'm getting ready to change to all religious ones. LOL....writing a book here. Big HUGS
