Just a spoon full of sugar or was it Salt?

Good Morning to you and yours! I am one that is thankful that today is a new day with renewed hope of not repeating yesterday.

In the past, my Monday mornings have always been enjoyed in peace and quite accompanied by a good strong cup of caffeine. Usually many are still sleeping including the sun. It's my time to put my world in order and gather the lingering thoughts that bounce from one side of the brain to the other.

Yesterday was to be no different ~ So I thought. My little light was shining in the hallway dancing with the glow of light from the kitchen. I pour myself a huge cup of coffee in all it's glory (cream and sugar) and sit at the kitchen table to ponder. Nothing like the first sip of a new day. Something wasn't right - where was that wonderful taste that normally starts my day. I turn on the overhead light to see nothing but sweetened hot water with cream.

I must of forgot to add the coffee last night before going to bed (oops). So I make a new pot and head for the shower. No fufu body wash left in bottle, to cold to get out and replace it so the boys soap will have to do. At this point I'm now living the life of sandpaper. I dive into a bottle of lotion and head back to the kitchen for my cup of life and....... the coffee pot is empty. How could anybody be soooo (fill in the blank) and not turn on the coffee pot?

I head out to the nearest coffee house and think to myself, my day has got to make a U turn and start heading up hill. Our first clients of the new year have no children only stuffed bears (their children) and would like us to organize said bears rooms and closets - You've got to be kidding me right!!! (More on this story in a later broadcast).

Needless to say my day continued down this path of destruction and I was thankful to come home to a wagging tail and an ear that was willing to listen without an agenda.

Today I need to head out into the world of many and deal with crowded parking lots full of those who have no idea where their cars are parked or care, I follow them aimlessly thinking to myself "I'm just thankful I was able to consume my fresh pot of a new day!

Take care of you and enjoy your Today!

I'm sorry but your post completely cracked me up!!! LOL

I have good taste in blog friends, your "About Me" brought a smile to my face and your post proved me correct. Your wit is absolutely charming.

Here's a funny coincidence, yesterday I was patiently waiting for my coffee machine to make the most beloved "beeeeeeep beeeep" (a sign that the coffee pot is full and ready to go!) but alas, I never heard the sound so I went in the kitchen and saw that I forgot to push the button... ARGH!

You have to tell me about the bear story soon!!!

P.S. Thank you for your encouraging comments, I'm definitely keeping in touch with you!

Hey Katie, I know about that coffee, and the time to yourself to contemplate the day. If you dont have those two, the whole day just is thrown off kilter. I hope the following days will be smoother! :) Bears? You will have to elaborate on this one! Curious...Hugs, Kelly

OK Katie. I'm one up on you concerning the coffee. I think it was back in the spring when I did the vinegar/water clean on my coffee pot only to forget about the vial solution still in the pot. Not paying attention (who does) next morning, I made "my day" and you can imagine the shock of that first sip!!! Even the dogs don't understand that one :)......

Katie thank you for the smile your story put on my face. I get up way early compared to Hubby and Spunky and since the house is so small I usually make it into the computer room/bedroom with no bed. Then I proceed to do the only quiet thing which is to write my Journal. Sometimes I am up at 4 or 5 but this morning I slept till 7. I really like that. Have a wonderful day Katie and thank you for your kind comment on my Journal. Lucy

LOL I love to read your entries. You make comedy out of any day. Very good attitude I need to pay more attention to you. I'm not a big coffee drinker in that I feel I have not drank the right one yet, because I love creamers and sugar of course.
Take care, Chrissie

LOL...Katie, been there and done that with forgetting to add coffee and also forgetting to turn on the pot. Sort of predisposes the day to a bad start. Tooo funny. So, somebody needs redesigned to accomodate teddy bears? Hmmm...wish I could say that was my biggest worry. Anyway, 2 down and 3 to go. HUGS
