Kitty Daycare For Cole

(The picture shown above was taken off of Google.com)

Hidy Ho there good neighbors! It's Thankful Thursday once again and I'm just glad I made it here. I'll be even happier to make it to Friday. It's been a good week, just a little on the crazy side.

I was going through some website to get new ideas, ordering new supplies and something dawned on me. Why I've never really pay much attention to it until now is beyond me. But here's my story.

Last March we lost our sweet cat Crimson to old age. We didn't have her long only about a year or two but long enough to fall in love. In April we went on a cruise for my hubby's 50th birthday. My mom and dad cared for our home. When we returned, I went to gather Guinness (our dog), the mail and hear about life while we were away.

My dad asked the strangest question "When did you get a new cat and why didn't you leave any food or bowls or bedding"? My answer or more of a questions was "Dad, are you sure you were taking care of the right house, we don't have a cat". Dads response "You do now"!

Every since the spring of last year we've had this beautiful gray cat Nugget (my son) calls Cole (short for Colette) stopping by for a daily visit. This cat doesn't belong to us, we have no idea who she belongs to. She wanders into our yard, at times barring gifts, slaps at the back door letting us know of her presence. She meanders in like she owns the place and heads straight for the dogs bed. They play endlessly creating havoc underfoot, knocking things over, running a muck, playing hide and seek which is fun to watch but I'm usually the one that gets startled. Then she heads to her unknown destination around 4:45 pm almost to the minute at the end of her day here at Kitty Daycare.

Today I have my hair in ponytails (I heard the snickers, don't laugh, I felt young this morning). Anywho, while I was sitting on the couch surfing the web on my laptop here comes Cole slapping at my tails. It was then I thought to myself, "Where did you come from and where do you go when you leave here". She looks at me as if to say "Does it really matter". She's a delight and we love her, Guinness and Nugget adore her. I guess she blesses us with her presence, well...... because she can!

Gifts come in all shapes and sizes so for this Thankful Thursday I am thankful for the gifts I've been blessed with. Take care and enjoy your each and everyday!

Wow. That's really curious. Does she wear a collar or anything?

Regardless, what a blessing for all of you!

XOXO

my hubby has 7 cats he feeds at his office everyday. Only one is tame enough to let him touch him.

I agree with Cole does it matter she feels she belongs and stays around just long enough for you to feel loved. I have an older cat that will sleep for days on my porch then disappear for a few. Somehow he always comes back, I have no idea where he came from or where he goes. I do know he feels loved and protected when he's with us. I've knicknamed him Fiest. He has scars running all over his face from the multiple fights he was in before coming to us. He's now healed wonderfully. (Hugs)Indigo

The easy answer is that Cole has something to share and has chosen your family. Lucky you!

Hmmm maybe that is where her loved ones are... a day care center?? When they come home she is there to greet them. Someone may throw her out through the day and let her in when they come home. I did not know it for YEARS! but our collie (Precious) would go across the field east of us EVERY MORNING and visit with the guy who took care of the oil pumpers. He would let her in the oil rig house and she would lay by the fire while he drank coffee and then went to check the pumps. When he was finished he would share his lunch with her... then tell her...Girl I will see you tomorrow. Strange I did not know it for years until I was told this story. lol Maybe it is an angel in disguise. lol Hugs, Janie

Hi Katie. My two (Oscar&Meyers) just appeared at my door over a year ago and they have been such a joy. I would never have given any consideration to getting a dog or cat otherwise. I'm thankful for them. Love the cat story :)......

My SIL has a cat that was the same way! Stayed there during the day and left at night. Now she stays there all the time. For some reason she just stopped leaving at night, we never found out where she came from. Linda

I read a story once about a dog that did that. The house he came from was full of rambunctious children and he needed a quiet place to nap so he did that for a long time. The lady finally slipped a note in his collar to see if the owner would answer and she did that's how they found out where he came from. They too decided he was a gift and the dog really thought their house was a gift too.
